Failed our routine inspection because of this oven being dirty. If it was an end of lease inspection, fair enough. But a routine inspection. I will make sure I never use my oven so that it doesn't get a few crumbs in the bottom!
Fair enough if it was filthy, but seriously.

What do you mean you failed your inspection. Did they issue you a notice to remedy breach or send you an email just for the oven? Are they coming back to check you cleaned the crumbs out?
i was once ask to go back and remove 3 dead flies inside and a couple of small cobwebs on the outside of the house,we were on a 90 vacate order,we had to put our things in storage and that gave us time to clean with the house empty.and we had to remove the said flies and cobwebs before the bond would be released, how petty is that.
what annoys me is with rentals of course properties get old and used,so yes some stains and marks become impossible to remove but some property managers expect them to be cleaner than when we move in..
Yeah, that's pretty ridiculous. What always confuses me is how agents always seem hell bent on a hospital grade of disinfection and cleanliness however almost every rental I move in to, it's like a dust, garbage and stink bomb was let off the morning of picking up the keys. I really don't understand how both can be true.
That's just being an ass to complain about that when you are still living there, how rude.
